Bozburun sits on the Hisarönü Gulf southwest of Marmaris and is one of the most secluded, unhurried settlements on the whole peninsula. Its identity is shaped by wooden gulet boat-building and a maritime tradition that is still very much alive; the shipyards here still build traditional wooden gulets by hand, and these same boats set out on Blue Cruises across the Aegean and Mediterranean.
