Bursa Yenişehir Airport (YEI/LTBR) is a critical transport facility serving Bursa, the industrial centre of the Southern Marmara region, and is used for both civil and military purposes. Aircraft Traffic: In the 2024-2025 financial period, aircraft movements increased by 55% to reach 28,220 movements.

Current operations are carried out predominantly by low-cost carriers (LCC).
- AJet: The main operator connecting Bursa to the Eastern Anatolia and Black Sea regions. Destinations: Erzurum, Trabzon, Muş, Diyarbakır.
- SunExpress: Offers direct flights both on domestic routes and to Europe's industrial centres. Destinations: Antalya, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart.
- Charter and Seasonal Flights: Charter flights from Russia and Ukraine for winter tourism (Uludağ) in particular, Hajj and Umrah flights, and seasonal flights to Düsseldorf broaden the operational range.

Public Transport: Line 80 and Line 80T (Express)
The newly added 80T line provides a direct connection between the Bursa Intercity Bus Terminal and the airport. This line picks up passengers only from the Terminal, BUTTİM, Kent Meydanı, Arabayatağı, Gürsu and Kestel stops. BursaKart fare schedule: Full 61,65 TL, Reduced 55,55 TL, Graduate 43,20 TL, Student 15,45 TL. Note: No bus service is operated on Wednesdays when there are no flights.
Car Rental and Parking

8. A Shift in Aviation Strategy: Yenişehir vs. Yunuseli
A significant turning point in Bursa's aviation history is the transition between the in-city Yunuseli Airfield and Yenişehir Airport. Yunuseli was closed to civil traffic in 2001 because it was unsuitable for large aircraft and posed safety risks. Although it reopened for general aviation in 2017, its licence was revoked by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM) following a 2022 aircraft crash and operational shortcomings.
